The Commonwealth Games are coming to Glasgow this July but how much do you know about them?
Between 23rd July and 3rd August, Glasgow will play host to 6,500 athletes and officials from 70 countries, competing in 17 sports over 11 days. Sports include; Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Rugby Sevens, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Triathlon, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

- The first Commonwealth Games took place in Canada in 1930. Four hundred athletes from 11 countries competed in six sports and over 59 events.
- Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales have attended every Games.
- Australia leads the way with a staggering 803 gold medals and are the only nation with over 2,000 medals.
- Four nations have won just one Commonwealth medal. Gambia and the Norfolk Islands sit at the bottom with a single bronze.
